Qualifications

• RHIT and/or RHIA credentials required; bachelor's degree in health information or related field.
• Minimum five years of Health Information experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience with EHR systems and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Directs all Health Information Department operations and budget to meet goals.
• Supervises and mentors Health Information staff and sets performance standards.
• Oversees coding accuracy, documentation compliance, and release of information.
• Ensures CMS and state regulations compliance and readiness for surveys.
• Maintains HIPAA privacy program and handles release of information.
• Implements EHR initiatives and coordinates with IT and clinical teams.
