Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Health Informatics Specialist to analyze information, lead initiatives, and support performance improvement through data-driven insights. You will synthesize data, create graphical presentations, and produce actionable summaries that inform leadership decisions while ensuring privacy, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Requires knowledge of health informatics, experience with clinical information systems, and project/change management skills.

Qualifications

  • Must live near the Trinity location.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Health Informatics through education and experience
  • At least two (2) years of experience in an informatics or related role
  • Experience with clinical information systems and health information technology
  • Basic understanding of clinical treatment modalities, educational principles, clinical information systems, accreditation and regulatory standards, and program development
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of change management principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management principles
  • Certification from a national informatics certifying body preferred
  • Fellowship, academic courses, or other formal training in Health Informatics preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus on Health Informatics or related discipline preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work in occasional clinical/patient-facing environments
  • Ability to travel frequently and use a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to adapt to frequent interruptions, shifting priorities, and stressful situations
  • Ability to read small print, hear normal sounds and voice patterns, and give/receive instructions through in-person, telephone, computer, device, or equipment communications
  • Ability to perform frequent manual dexterity activities and occasional grasping/handling
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment and use available PPE

Responsibilities

  • Research, collect, and analyze information
  • Identify opportunities, develop solutions, and lead initiatives through resolution
  • Collaborate on performance improvement activities based on program efficiency and patient experience outcomes
  • Distribute analytical reports
  • Use multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports, and develop educational materials
  • Apply Trinity Health policies, practices, and processes to prioritize quality, confidentiality, and safety
  • Research and compile information for ad-hoc operational projects and initiatives
  • Synthesize and analyze data and provide detailed summaries with graphical presentations illustrating trends
  • Recommend practical options or solutions while considering business strategy and supporting leadership decision-making
  • Leverage program and operational data and measurements to define and demonstrate progress, ROI, and impacts
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and Trinity Health compliance policies and procedures
