The Health Information Technician (HIT) reports to the HIT Manager and is responsible for the daily management of medical/dental/behavioral health patient records: compile, process and make accurate health records available to authorized entities in accordance with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of Sacramento Native American Health Center, Inc. (SNAHC). The HIT takes an active role within the HIT Department to develop effective utilization of the computerized record management system, electronic methods of sending and receiving information, and employs multiple applications for tasks throughout the workday.
