Job summary

Aviata Health Group is seeking a qualified Director of Maintenance to lead our facility's maintenance operations. You will plan, organize and direct the Maintenance Department to ensure safety, compliance and a comfortable environment for residents and staff.

You will hire and supervise technicians, develop preventive maintenance programs, conduct safety inspections, and drive continuous improvements across electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems in a resident-focused setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical degree preferred.
• Minimum three years in a supervisory maintenance/plant role.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
• Compassionate, dedicated, and quality-focused.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance plan with clear tasks and timelines.
• Establish equipment and utilities management program.
• Hire, train, supervise maintenance technicians.
• Participate in safety inspections and document findings.
• Provide safety training and chair the Safety Committee.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on grounds.
• Ensure supplies and equipment support a safe environment.
• Drive improvements to systems and processes for better results.
