Job summary

The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration is seeking a Health Facility Evaluator II to conduct inspections of health care facilities across Florida, ensuring compliance with state licensure and federal Medicare/Medicaid requirements. The role may involve solo work or leading survey teams, with mandatory certification testing within the first year.

Applicants should be proficient with MS Word and Outlook, ready to travel and work weekends/holidays as needed, and capable of handling

Qualifications

• Three (3) years professional or nonprofessional health care licensure, regulation and/or certification experience.
• Proficient with Word, Outlook and mobile tech.
• Ability to travel with or without accommodations.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections using the established survey process.
• Evaluate facilities for state licensure and federal certification requirements under Medicare/Medicaid.
• Document findings and write survey reports.
• Possible role as individual, team member or team leader.
• Complete required Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test within 12 months.
