Job summary

Baltimore City Health Department seeks a Health Project Director (NCS) to lead the Local Health Improvement Coalition (LHIC) and manage multiple community health initiatives in Baltimore City. You will oversee a small team, develop strategic plans, build cross-sector partnerships, and guide program design, implementation, and evaluation to advance health equity.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in public health, health administration, policy, or related field.
• 3–5 years in community health, coalition-building, or related areas.
• Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of public health principles, health equity, and program evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic plan aligned with LHIC mission and goals.
• Lead and coordinate a team of 4 including a manager, coordinator, and epidemiologists.
• Foster partnerships with government agencies, providers, and community orgs.
• Oversee Community Health Needs Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan.
• Monitor and evaluate initiatives; adjust programs to improve outcomes.
• Support policy efforts to promote health equity and access to care.
• Oversee grant management, budgets, and subgrant contracts.
