Job summary

Ventura County Community College District is accepting applications on an ongoing basis for part-time instructors in Health across its three colleges. These positions are non-contract/temporary and may be filled up to 67% of a full-time assignment for future semesters.

We seek qualified instructors to provide diverse, accessible instruction and support students across Ventura County. Applications are kept on file for Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and Spring 2027 vacancies.

Qualifications

Master's or higher in health-related field or equivalent.
All coursework must be from an accredited college or university; foreign transcripts may apply.
Possession of a California Community College Credential is acceptable.
Minimum qualifications approved by the CCC Board of Governors.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive classroom instruction to students in varied formats (lecture, lab, performance).
Advise and instruct students on programs of study and lifelong learning resources.
Observe and evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
Plan and organize instruction according to course outlines and learning outcomes.
Maintain accurate records of enrollment, progress, and outcomes; prepare relevant reports.
Evaluate and select instructional materials and update content with new developments.
May participate in curriculum development and attend committees and meetings.
