Job summary

The New York State Department of Health seeks a Health Program Administrator to oversee confidential data requests, medical malpractice reporting, and statutorily mandated reports. The role includes coordinating data with the PRS2, managing ad hoc requests, and developing unit policies.

Responsibilities involve scheduling reporting cycles, data quality checks, and liaising with vendors to support physician profiles and system access for data analysis. Travel within NYS may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with relational databases and data analysis.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with SQL, Access, Crystal Reports or SAS; Excel proficiency.
• Ability to integrate data from multiple sources into reports.

Responsibilities

• Create annual reporting schedules and process routine/ad hoc reports.
• Coordinate with vendors and agencies to support physician profiles and data access.
• Retrieve and process Confidential Data Requests.
• Assist with administration of the Medical Malpractice Data Collection System.
• Develop and update unit policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
