Health Center Receptionist

Part Time Days / up to $21 per hour

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Health Center Receptionist for Faith Mission in Columbus, Ohio.

Faith Mission is one of the largest homeless shelters in Columbus, Ohio, providing meals and shelter to men, women, and Veterans with dignity and compassion.

Responsibilities of the Health Center Receptionist with Lutheran Social Services:
  1. Welcome and assist all visitors at the reception area of the Health Center or Agency.
  2. Optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming patient appointments.
  3. Maintain the Vision Store receptionist desk at all times during clinic hours.
  4. Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
  5. Collaborate with Health Center staff to ensure quality health-related services and assist with outreach and accommodations for walk-ins.
  6. Assist with maintaining proper patient records, including scanning, cataloging, and entering information into Health Center databases, as well as general office duties like filing, faxing, and copying.
  7. Verify patient appointments via phone two days prior and update records accordingly.
Requirements for the Health Center Receptionist:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. At least one year of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare.
  3. Ability to type 50 WPM.
  4. Proficiency in computer skills, with Microsoft Office preferred.
