Job summary

LifeLong Medical Care seeks a Center Director to oversee LeNoir Health Center in Oakland, CA. This full-time, onsite leadership role will steer day-to-day operations, service planning, staffing, quality assurance, and budget management to deliver high-quality patient care.

The director will lead cross-functional teams, partner with clinical and administrative leaders, ensure HRSA and payer contract compliance, and drive performance improvement through data-driven methods and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in health admin or related field.
• Experience in healthcare operations leadership.
• Knowledge of HRSA Health Center Program requirements.
• Experience with budget development and labor management.
• Strong data-driven decision making using dashboards (e.g., Tableau).

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operational and financial performance of the health center, including budget development and variance management with Finance.
• Monitor performance indicators using dashboards; submit monthly operational reviews to leadership.
• Identify financial risks and inefficiencies; implement corrective action to meet targets.
• Manage patient access, scheduling, and clinic flow across provider types to optimize throughput.
• Lead staffing, training, and performance evaluation for center staff and volunteers; coordinate with HR and clinical leadership.
• Ensure compliance with HRSA requirements, audits, and quality/regulatory programs; drive continuous improvement.
