Job summary

Southeast KY Community & Technical College is seeking a Health Career Coordinator/Student Support Specialist II to recruit students and provide healthcare workforce education in Hazard, KY, serving the Southeast Kentucky AHEC region.

This on-site, full-time position is grant funded through 06/30/2027 with potential extension and additional funding discussed. The role emphasizes student support, programming delivery, and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Recruits students to participate in health careers programming.
• Plans and provides health careers programming for middle, high, and post-secondary students in the Southeast Kentucky service region.
• Develops partnerships with public and private schools to carry out identified programming.
• Evaluates programming for effectiveness and quality.
• Participates in scheduled meetings that include local, statewide, and national travel.
• Other duties as assigned.
