Job summary

Southeast KY Community & Technical College is hiring a Health Career Coordinator/Student Support Specialist II in Hazard, KY. The role supports healthcare workforce education for middle, high, and post-secondary students and operates on-site at the Hazard AHEC office.

The position is grant-funded through 06/30/2027 with possible extension, and offers a comprehensive benefits package and a 37.5-hour work week. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Experience guiding students to access academic support services, mentoring and career counseling.
• Grant-funded position with potential extension based on funding.

Responsibilities

• Recruits students to participate in health careers programming and guides them to resources.
• Plans and delivers health careers programming for students within the service region.
• Develops partnerships with schools to implement programming.
• Evaluates programming for effectiveness and quality.
• Participates in meetings requiring local, statewide, and national travel.
• Other duties as assigned.
