Job summary

Center for Care Innovations, based in California, seeks a collaborative Program Manager to design and lead initiatives supporting health care safety net organizations. The role blends strategy and implementation, building relationships with funders and partners in virtual and in-person settings.

Requirements include at least five years managing complex initiatives, a Master’s degree, and strong data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience managing complex initiatives in health care, public health, nonprofit, or community settings.
• Master’s degree in public health, public policy, health care administration, nonprofit management, or related field.
• Deep knowledge of the health care safety net ecosystem (FQHCs, Medi-Cal plans, etc.).
• Experience running learning collaboratives, accelerators, or capacity-building initiatives.
• Excellent manager able to translate goals into clear work plans, timelines, roles, and deliverables.
• Strong ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships with partners and stakeholders.
• Confident, engaging communicator for diverse audiences both virtually and in person.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and adapting approaches.

Responsibilities

• Design initiatives translating ideas into actionable programs using landscape research and stakeholder interviews.
• Lead multiple initiatives with timelines, budgets, roles, consultants, and grant requirements.
• Build and steward relationships with key stakeholders in health care safety net.
• Create engaging learning experiences: virtual and in‑person convenings, workshops, meetings.
• Use data to understand progress, identify improvements, and inform decisions.
• Manage initiative budgets, track spending, and report progress to funders.
