Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) is hiring a Health Care Associate (HCA) in Sanford, ME. In this full-time, non-exempt role you will be the first point of contact for patients, delivering compassionate administrative and clinical support within our health center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
• Experience with diverse communities and health equity.
• Knowledge of and comfort with PPNNE services.

Responsibilities

• Greet and help patients with check-ins, check-outs, and questions about their visit.
• Assist patients with insurance, payments, scheduling and eligibility for state funded plans.
• Handle calls, scheduling, records, and follow clinic procedures.
• Maintain patient flow and keep space clean and organized.
• Perform basic medical tasks: vital signs, blood draws, injections, lab assistance.
• Provide patient education, counseling and ensure informed consent.
• Use EHR (EPIC) for documentation and support clinicians.
