Job description

Health Assistant/ Educational Assistant I

Join to apply for the Health Assistant/ Educational Assistant I role at Douglas County School District.

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week), split between Health Assistant I (20 hours) and Educational Assistant I (15 hours).

Position Details:

• Educational Assistant I: Provides assistance to teachers, performs clerical tasks, and develops community relations.
• Health Assistant: Manages student health needs, administers medication, and maintains health records.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional lifting (5-50 lbs)
• Ability to stand/walk for 90 minutes
• Ability to run short distances
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Report incidents and observations related to students
• Mediate conflicts and provide first aid
• Assist students and teachers with instructional tasks
• Monitor students in various settings

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• First Aid & CPR Certification (Colorado)

Compensation:

• Starting hourly rate: $16.53 - $25.11
• Health Assistant rate: $17.54 - $26.25
