Job summary

Flynn Group of Companies is seeking a Safety Specialist (CHST) to lead the company’s safety and health program on active job sites in Wisconsin. The role requires travel and involves on-site supervision with overtime paid at time and a half.

The ideal candidate will oversee safety standards, deliver training, and coordinate site safety orientations while maintaining records and supporting a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 and CHST are required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a government background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of the company safety and health program.
• Work on-site at the job site with overtime as needed, paid at time and a half.
• Supervise and support all company safety standards.
• Provide safety training and education to site personnel.
• Attend pre-work meetings and participate in preparatory sessions.
• Maintain a weekly log of high-hazard activities and risk assessments.
• Document and record site safety orientations and indoctrination.

TRAVEL WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION, WITH AN 11 DAY ON, 3 DAY OFF SCHEDULE (OT paid)

A Day in the Life / Responsibilities

• Overall administration of company safety & health program.
• This role will be located at the job site and requires some overtime, paid at time and 1/2.
• Supervision and support of all company safety standards
• Safety Training and Education
• Attend pre-work meetings including preparatory meetings
• Maintain a weekly list of high-hazard activities
• Provide and keep a record of site safety orientation and indoctrination

All other duties associated with a Health and Safety position.

Job Requirements:
