The Manager of Health and Fitness manages a team of fitness staff and oversees the design and implementation of fitness and wellness programs for members. This role is crucial to the success of the Medical Fitness Center by setting operational objectives, developing strategies, and ensuring staff adherence to policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree required
At least two years of professional experience in a health club, recreation, education, business administration, health education, or physical education setting; background in physiological assessment, exercise prescription, and health promotion (stress management, nutritional awareness, wellness). Preferred: 3 years supervisory experience.
Personal Training Certification (e.g., ACSM, NASM, AFAA, or other NCCA-accredited) and BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
