Job summary

BRG offers a Chicago-based internship program with mentors, training, and hands-on learning in economics, data science, and analytics. Interns will work up to 20 hours per week in the downtown office, supported by industry experts and a structured learning path.

The role emphasizes data gathering, analysis, and communicating findings to senior staff and clients using SQL, R, Python, and other tools. BRG aims to convert interns to full-time associates after graduation if the fit is right.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant analytical field with expected graduation between Winter 2027 and Summer 2028.
• GPA of 3.6 or higher preferred.
• Interest in applying analytics to business, finance, law, regulation or policy questions.
• Strong quantitative, research, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced client-service environment.
• Attention to detail and intellectual curiosity; commitment to high-quality work.
• Experience with statistical, econometric and programming tools such as Excel, Stata, R, Python, SQL or similar.
• Fluency with AI tools is desirable.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of industries and business issues by gathering information from clients, documents, literature and other sources.
• Identify, collect, maintain, analyze and review data, materials, and files for project needs.
• Combine programming, model building and statistical analysis using SQL, R, Stata, SAS, Python or Snowflake.
• Interact with senior staff, experts and clients to clearly communicate questions, findings and recommendations.
• Demonstrate creativity and analytical skills to develop novel solutions for projects.
• Contribute to client deliverables and expert reports.
