Job summary

BRG's Health Analytics Practice in Chicago is offering an internship focused on economic, statistical, and data-driven analysis to support legal and business outcomes. Interns will gain hands-on experience with data gathering, model building, and client communication under senior supervision.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field with expected graduation between Winter 2027 and Summer 2028.
• GPA 3.6 or higher preferred.
• Interest in applying analytics to business, financial, legal, regulatory, or policy questions.
• Strong quantitative, research, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-service environment.
• Experience with statistical, econometric and programming tools such as Excel, Stata, R, Python, SQL or similar platforms is preferred.
• Fluency with AI tools is desirable.
• Candidates must be able to submit verification of their legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop a practical understanding of industries, markets, legal claims, and business issues relevant to each engagement by gathering and reviewing information from our clients and their business, academic literature, legal documents, specialized industry resources, commercial databases, or other sources appropriate for the unique requirements of a project.
• Identify, collect, develop, maintain, analyze and review data, qualitative materials, spreadsheets and other files as dictated by complex project needs.
• Combine programming, model building, and statistical analysis skills using relational database and statistical programs to analyze a variety of subjects with software such as SQL, R, Stata, SAS, Python, or Snowflake.
• Interact with senior staff, experts, and clients to clearly communicate questions, findings, economic and business concepts, and recommendations.
• Demonstrate creativity and efficient analytical skills to develop novel solutions tailored to unique projects.
• Provide valuable contributions to client deliverables and expert reports.
