Job summary

Penmac Staffing Services, Inc. is hiring a Header Operator for the Russellville area on the Weekend Day Shift.

You will set up cold heading machines, check dimensions against blueprints, load material, and inspect parts with precision tools to ensure quality parts meet schedules. The role is full-time, 12-hour shifts, with growth potential and a focus on safety, PPE usage, and 5S standards in a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 to 3+ years of manufacturing, metalworking, or machine operation experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials as needed.
• Must be able to wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust cold heading machines, including feeds, speeds, cams, and dies for production runs.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
• Safely load raw material wire coils or rod stock into machinery.
• Inspect first-run and in-process parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot machine errors and adjust tooling as needed.
• Correct feeding, forming, and production issues to maintain quality standards.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and 5S standards.
• Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures.

Header Operator - Weekend Day Shift - $14.50/Hour

The Russellville Penmac Branch is hiring a Header Operator for a local manufacturing company. This is a great opportunity for individuals with machine operation or metalworking experience who enjoy working with precision equipment and producing quality parts. The Header Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently producing cold-formed metal parts according to production schedules, blueprint specifications, and quality standards.

Requirements for the Header Operator

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• 1 to 3+ years of manufacturing, metalworking, or machine operation experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
