Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Header Operator for a fastener manufacturer in the Ola area. You will set up and run cold header machines, load wire stock, install dies and tooling, and monitor quality through first-piece and in-process checks.

Qualified candidates have manufacturing or machine operator experience, the ability to read measurements and blueprints, and a strong attention to detail.

• Previous manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred.
• Experience with header machines or metal forming equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read measurements and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cold header machines (single or multi-die).
• Load wire stock and ensure proper feed into the machine.
• Install and adjust dies, punches, and tooling for each job.
• Monitor operation and maintain part quality.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Identify defects and adjust settings to reduce scrap.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and coordinate with maintenance.
• Maintain production and quality records.
• Assist with machine changeovers and routine maintenance.
• Follow safety standards and keep workspace clean.

A great company in the Ola area is looking forHeader Operators for a fastener manufacturing company. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical experience who enjoys working in a hands-on production environment.

Schedule: There is a $0.50 shift differential for night shift

Friday - Sunday 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Friday - Sunday 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM

Job Duties

• Set up and operate cold header machines (single or multi-die)
• Load wire stock and ensure proper feed into the machine
• Install and adjust dies, punches, and tooling for each job
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain part quality
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify specifications
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
• Identify defects and adjust machine settings to reduce scrap
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and coordinate with maintenance when needed
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Perform routine maintenance and assist with machine changeovers
• Follow safety standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Requirements
