Job summary

The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX seeks an outstanding Physician with a focus on Headaches to provide comprehensive neurological care to Veterans. Essential duties include histories, exams, evaluating neuro conditions, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required or as per VA policy for appointment
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in a US state or territory
• Board-eligible/board-certified in Neurology or equivalent training as applicable

Responsibilities

• Assess needs and plan interventions for adult patients.
• Provide comprehensive neurological care for veterans with conditions such as headache, stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular diseases, cognitive disorders.
• Perform initial histories and physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic studies.
• Educate in neurology care and supervise trainees as applicable.
