Job summary

Martin L. King, Jr. High School is seeking a motivated Varsity Head Soccer Coach who has a passion for working with high school students.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal and the Head Coach to develop game techniques and strategies and to guide players in improving individually and as a team. The role requires knowledge of athletic policies, ability to supervise staff, and a commitment to sportsmanship and character development in student athletes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience and knowledge coaching sports preferred.
• Georgia High School Association Lay Coaching Certificate required.
• First aid certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training for success.
• Mentor student athletes and promote character development, trust, respect and citizenship.
• Coordinate with athletic director and principal; assist with scheduling, transportation and events.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and ensure facilities and locker rooms are clean and safe.
