Qualifications

• Proper certification with American Sport Education Program and/or Valid Illinois Teaching certificate.
• Pass IHSA required tests and view videos.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead a coaching staff; monitor assignments and duties of assistant and lower level coaches and annually evaluate all coaches.
• Design and implement an organizational structure that reports to the Athletic Director.
• Assist the Athletic Director in selecting athletic staff and volunteers.
• Verify participant registrations and eligibility.
• Develop game schedules, practice schedules, facilities use, transportation needs, and program budget with the Athletic Director/Assistant Athletic Directors.
• Communicate and plan practice sessions and competition strategies to ensure athlete health and well-being.
• Coordinate pre-season parent meetings to review scholastic eligibility, athletic code of conduct, and team rules.

Education
