Job summary

Illinois School District U46 is seeking a Head Varsity Coach to lead a comprehensive high school athletic program. You will plan, organize and oversee all levels, ensuring academic eligibility and a strong, competitive season.

You will direct coaches, schedule practices and games, manage facilities and budgets, and maintain positive relations with schools, families and community partners. Experience with IHSA and proper coaching credentials is essential.

Qualifications

• Certification in coaching or teaching required (Illinois standards).
• IHSA tests completion and viewing training videos as required.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all levels of the program.
• Direct and evaluate coaches; design organizational structure reporting to Athletic Director.
• Manage practice and game schedules, facilities use, and program budget.
• Ensure athlete academic eligibility and adherence to athletic codes.
