Description
General Summary of Duties
Provides quality service to internal and external members in-person and over the telephone. Performs all duties assigned to the teller area according to established policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Balance daily, perform operational duties, troubleshoot problems with department equipment, report errors, abnormalities, and out of balance conditions to supervisor immediately, correct all out of balance conditions as applicable, and perform office closing procedures.
- Maintain functional knowledge of online systems and all software used in the department, including procedures if the system goes down.
- Prepare reports, file, make photocopies/scans, create and maintain Excel reports.
- Assist management in ensuring department efficiency, coordinate member traffic flow, update departmental policies, and assist auditors and vendors as required.
- Manage cash and coin ordering, transferring, auditing, and maintenance, ensuring limits are maintained.
- Perform security pack audits, proof cash drawers for leave, and report out of balance conditions over specified thresholds.
- Replenish and secure supplies like cashier checks, money orders, debit cards, and perform duties related to Coinstar and side jobs.
- Handle member service duties including account changes, opening/closing accounts, processing transfers, fraud investigations, and other account maintenance tasks.
- Perform duties of membership officer and/or notary as assigned.
- Manage security and office access, schedule appointments, review credit reports, and handle office deliveries.
- Perform all teller duties including balancing cash, processing deposits and withdrawals, issuing checks and cards, and maintaining equipment.
- Maintain lobby brochures, logs, and process night drop transactions.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years cash handling experience in a credit union or similar environment.
- Successful completion of credit review.
Physical Demands
- Regularly sit, use hands, talk, hear; occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. and exert force to move up to 50 lbs.
