Job description

Salary/Position Classification
  • $11.00 Hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 5-10 hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability:No
  • Hybrid Work Availability:No
Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Welcome and engage all Museum visitors and introduce current exhibitions and programs
  • Be aware of security issues pertaining to the artwork or Art Museum visitors
  • Remind visitors that photographing the art and physical contact with the art is prohibited, and that food and beverages are not permitted
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Represent the Museum to the public, the staff, and to every person who walks through the door in a positive manner
  • Stay informed about the Museum exhibitions, programs, and activities - (Essential)
Required Competencies

• Ability to work well under pressure
• Good organization of workspace and time
• Excellent communication skills, verbal, and written, including knowledge of Excel and Word
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Maintain a professional, neat, and pleasant appearance and demeanor at all times


Minimum Requirements

• Must have accepted a Federal Work Study award
• Successful Completion of a criminal history background check
• Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits
