Job summary

Devereux seeks a Head Teacher to supervise and support educational staff across Mapleton School and Devereux Day Academy in Malvern and Norristown. This 52-week teaching role involves on-site leadership and collaboration with dedicated professionals to aid students with diverse needs.

You will lead IEP processes, assist in program administration, and co-teach to implement new instructional skills, while also modeling servant leadership and fostering a supportive school culture.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Special Education and PA certification is required.
• PA Educational Supervisory Certificate is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to on-site Special Education Teachers.
• Assist in development and implementation of the school program administration.
• Own supervision of IEPs and IEP process & complete initial transition of IEP for new students within 30 days.
• Co-teach and support classroom teachers to adopt new skills.
• Serve as a building-level leader in core and supplementary curricular resources.
