Job summary

E Center is seeking a Head Start Teacher II/III to lead classroom activities for 3- to 5-year-olds in a center-based setting. You will supervise assistants and volunteers, coordinate with families, and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum under the Center Director’s supervision.

You will ensure health, safety, and compliance with Head Start and state regulations while supporting family engagement and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (24 ECE units) with 12 core units.
• Three or more units in child care administration.
• 24 ECE/Child Development units required; coursework in child abuse, substance abuse and domestic violence within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Act as onsite administrator under regulations.
• Supervise and evaluate staff; manage leaves and timecards.
• Prepare reports, maintain records, and ensure confidentiality.

Education
