Position Summary
As the Aquatics Head Swim Team Coach, you will work in a fast-paced environment to help our Swim Team members improve their swimming skills in our state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor recreational and lap pools. You will develop and implement seasonal Swim Team workouts and train other Coaches. Additionally, this role involves overseeing participant registration and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our Aquatics Facilities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Create a safe and educational experience for all participants.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with participants.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding programs, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure the pool area is safe, clean, and organized.
- Promote and sell Aquatics programs and services.
- Serve as a liaison between the Aquatics Department, USA Swimming, Swim Coaches, and Parents.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the Aquatics Manager.
- Develop seasonal workout plans and templates.
- Register swimmers for swim meets and enter their information into the program.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of swim coaching experience.
- Membership in ASCA and USA Swimming.
- Safety Training for Swim Coaches certification.
- Complete LTU Safety Training before starting.
- Complete all LTU courses within 60 days of hire.
- CPR/AED certification.
- Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire.
- Complete all job-specific training with Life Time Education.
- Ability to work stationary and move around the club for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills with guests regarding Life Time products and services.
- Swim ability to cover 25 yards/meters without stopping.
- Ability to bend and lift up to 20 lbs routinely, with occasional heavier lifts.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Experience in swim lesson instruction.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- ASCA Level 2 Certification or higher.
- Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid certifications.
Pay: This hourly position offers wages starting at $17.75 and up to $24.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
