Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Program & Staff Leadership: Directs a K-12 sports program and aligns with MHSA by‑laws.
  • Staff Supervision: Oversee assistant coaches and assign duties via Activities Director.
  • Philosophy & Development: Set program philosophy and promote professional growth.
  • Evaluation: Review staff performance within two weeks after season end.
  • Budgeting & Equipment: Manage budget, inventory, and equipment issuance/maintenance.
  • Scheduling & Compliance: Schedule contests and ensure eligibility, insurance, and fees.
  • Academic Monitoring & Conduct: Monitor grades, conduct, and travel safety.
  • Public Relations: Communicate with parents/media and engage youth feeder programs.
