Job summary

Sandy High School seeks a seasonal swim coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Position starts October 2026 and is a seasonal extra-duty assignment within Oregon Trail School District. Strong emphasis on swim instruction, game management, safety, and student development.

NFHS Coaching Certification is required; First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain it is needed. Equal opportunity employer; fingerprinting/background checks apply as part of hire.

Qualifications

• NFHS coaching certification is required.
• Previous coaching and/or swim experience is preferred.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR or ability to obtain it.
• Extensive knowledge of swim instruction and game management required.
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, staff, and the public.
• Ability to motivate and guide high school athletes toward program goals.

Responsibilities

• Coaching duties at Sandy High School starting 10/2026 as a seasonal extra duty.
• Plan and run swim practices, drills, and meet-day activities.
• Ensure safety and supervise athletes during all activities.
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to support athletes.
• Promote sportsmanship and development of athletes' skills.
