Responsibilities include designing and administering strength, conditioning, speed development and agility programs; ensuring safe instruction; managing budget and equipment; and collaborating with all head coaches to support

About the Job

Position Summary UMD Athletics is seeking a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach to develop and maintain a competitive Division II strength and conditioning program in a manner compatible with the department and University philosophy, and in compliance with NCAA, Conference and nationally accepted rules and safety regulations.

  • Design and daily administer strength, stretching, agility/plyometric, speed development and conditioning exercises and programming.
  • Provide instruction in a safe and effective manner.
  • Manage and maintain, inventory, infrastructure and the department's budget.
  • Communicate regularly with all head coaches.
  • Support the UMD Athletics mission of excellence in the Classroom, Community and Competition; while furthering the strategic plan of UMD
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate both written and verbally.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student-athlete well-being and building an inclusive culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification.
  • Experience with budget management.
  • A minimum of two combined progressive experience at the collegiate and/or professional level.
  • MA/MS degree.
  • Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $65000; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 100% Appointment

Position Type: Faculty and P&A Staff
