"Make a Difference in Every Dish – Become Our Head Steward!" Hilton Salt Lake City is looking for a Head Steward/Dishwasher who is eager to grow and develop in the culinary arts.

Must be able to have a flexible schedule to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. You must be able to adapt to changes and possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

The Head Steward provides supervision and training of all stewarding personnel. Responsible for ensuring that all banquet and restaurant functions have the proper equipment and supplies. Inspects all kitchen and back-of-the-house food and beverage areas to ensure cleanliness and safety. Manages inventory of china, glass, silver, and other food and beverage equipment.

What will I be doing?

The Head Steward supervises and trains stewarding staff, ensures proper equipment and supplies for all functions, inspects kitchen areas for cleanliness and safety, and manages equipment inventory. Specific tasks include:

1. Managing non-food production areas such as dishwashing and storage, ensuring timely delivery of food for service.
2. Implementing and overseeing sanitation standards and procedures.
3. Ensuring food service equipment is secure, maintained, and functional.
4. Washing dishes and utensils, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness to comply with health regulations.
5. Controlling inventory of china, glass, and silverware.
6. Maintaining equipment and supply readiness for banquets and restaurant areas.
