Job summary

Child Inc in Austin, Texas is seeking a Head Start Teacher Aide to support the Head Start Teacher in fostering children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development in a safe, nurturing environment. This is a 10-month position from August to June.

You will assist with classroom activities, engage families, and help maintain a positive learning space while coordinating with teachers, supervisors, and specialists.

Qualifications

• CDA Credential or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment).
• Valid driver's license and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom activities, including bilingual/multicultural education and support for children with disabilities.
• Help assess children's growth and development.
• Individualize activities to meet each child's unique needs.
• Engage parents in classroom and at-home learning activities.
