Job summary

Child Inc in Austin, Texas, seeks a Teacher Aide to support Head Start classrooms for 3- to 5-year-olds. You will assist the teacher in planning activities, maintaining the classroom, and supervising children in a 10-month role (August–June).

Qualifications

• CDA Credential required.
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development acceptable.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.
• Valid driver's license and insured vehicle may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in planning and initiating meaningful learning activities for Head Start children aged 3-5.
• Assist in conducting classroom activities, maintaining environment and supervising children.
• May assist in planning, record keeping and other classroom duties.
