Job summary

Child Inc invites applications for Head Start Teaching Assistant (Full Time) in Manor, Texas. The Teacher Aide collaborates with the classroom team to plan and execute meaningful activities for 3- to 5-year-olds and assists the teacher with daily routines, supervision, and record-keeping.

Multi-site work possible within Travis County. Minimum qualifications include a CDA credential or associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, 3 months of relevant experience, CPR/First

Qualifications

• CDA credential required
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development acceptable
• Three months experience with 3-5 year olds preferred
• Ability to work at any center/location
• CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
• Must pass physical and TB test and background checks/E-Verify

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in planning and initiating meaningful learning activities for Head Start children ages 3–5 years
• Maintain classroom environment, supervise children and support record keeping

Education

CDA Credential

Associate in Early Childhood Education or Child Development

Three months of experience with 3-5 year olds

Pediatric CPR and First Aid within 30 days

Valid driver’s license

Physical and TB test

Criminal history background checks & E-Verify
