Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) Head Start is hiring a Teacher for Head Start and Primary Education programs in Mattapan. The role involves planning and delivering a developmentally appropriate education component within a teaching team, aligned with Head Start Performance Standards.

Responsibilities include observation, planning, and documentation of each child’s progress, along with home visits and parent conferences.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in early childhood education or related coursework.,
• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
• Master's degree in early childhood education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-school children with a joyful, nurturing, and safe learning environment.
• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Collaborate with Teacher Assistants and volunteers to support instruction.
• Engage families to promote understanding of child development.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws, policies, and program standards.
