Job summary

Acelero Learning Delaware is seeking a Head Start Teacher to lead a nurturing classroom for 3–5-year-olds, guiding literacy, language, and social-emotional development. You will implement a child-centered curriculum and actively engage families to support each child’s learning journey.

You should be deeply committed to equity in early childhood education, collaborative with staff, and able to adapt based on data. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent coursework.
• Pass a physical exam and background check.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with children.

Responsibilities

• Lead a joyful, inclusive classroom for 3–5-year-olds.
• Implement a child-centered curriculum reflecting children's needs and backgrounds.
• Foster family partnerships through home visits and conferences.
• Support learners with IEPs integrated into daily instruction.
• Document and assess progress using observations and digital tools.
• Ensure child safety and well-being during daily activities.
