Acelero Learning Delaware—Smyrna Center is seeking a Head Start Teacher to lead a joyful, inclusive classroom of 3–5-year-olds, delivering a child-centered curriculum that supports literacy, language, and social-emotional development.

You will partner with families, support diverse learners with IEPs, document progress using CreativeCurriculum.net, and ensure child safety and well-being. Fall 2026 start with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent coursework.
• Pass a physical exam and background check.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with children.

Responsibilities

• Lead a joyful, inclusive classroom for 3–5-year-olds that promotes school readiness, literacy, language, and social-emotional development.
• Implement a child-centered curriculum reflecting the needs and cultural backgrounds of the children.
• Foster family partnerships through home visits, parent-teacher conferences, and family involvement in learning.
• Support diverse learners, including children with disabilities, by integrating IEPs into daily instruction.
• Document and assess progress using observations, anecdotal notes, and digital tools like CreativeCurriculum.net.
• Ensure child safety and well-being through daily health checks and modeling positive behaviors during meals and play.
