Acelero Learning Delaware Smyrna Center is seeking a Head Start Teacher to lead a 3–5-year-old classroom, creating a nurturing environment where children thrive. Fall 2026 start with a yearly salary of $42,266.70 plus comprehensive benefits, including health insurance and 401(k) matching.

You’ll collaborate with families, teachers, and site leadership to support literacy, language, and social-emotional development in an equity-focused program.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent coursework.
• Pass a physical exam and background check.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a joyful, inclusive classroom; promote school readiness, literacy, language, social-emotional development.
• Implement a child-centered curriculum reflecting children's needs and backgrounds.
• Foster family partnerships through home visits and parent-teacher conferences.
• Support diverse learners by integrating IEPs into daily instruction.
• Document and assess progress with observations and digital tools.
• Ensure child safety and well-being during meals and play.
