Job summary

Center for Human Services is seeking a Head Start Teacher to oversee learning environments and instruction tailored to each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in Harrisonville, MO. Qualifications

• A minimum of an associate degree in a related field and experience with children.
• Bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education preferred or enrolled in a degree program within 2 years of attainment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide learning environments, experiences, and instruction aligned with developmentally appropriate practices.
• Engage families in school readiness and family development goal setting and activities.
• Maintain compliance with Head Start ELOF, performance standards, and CHS policies.
• Develop individual and group lesson plans reflecting parent input and cultural relevance.
