Job description

The Teacher Aide, under the direction and supervision of the site Supervisor, will be responsible for the following duties:

RESPONSIBILITES:

1. Assist the Teacher/Teacher Assistant in supervision of the children in the classroom and outdoors during the entire day and support the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.
2. Cooperate with all staff in protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the children.
3. Assist in all aspects of the education program with teacher supervision and guidance.
4. Participation in schedule workshops, in-service trainings and formal trainings on a continuous basis.
5. Carry out Head Start Performance Standards in accordance with all component areas.
6. Will circulate for classroom coverage.
7. Any other duties deemed necessary the CEO/Executive Director or Senior Management and all program activities as it relates to the mission of the Agency.
8. In accordance with the Head Start Performance standards 1302.91, is willing to participate and benefit from Intensive Practice Based Coaching to enhance and strengthen Professional Development and Teaching Practices in the classroom setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:
