As a Head Start Preschool Teacher, you will coteach with another highly qualified Early Childhood Educator in an outcomes-oriented, team environment, and provide safe, healthy, friendly, and developmentally appropriate environments and experiences for 10 children ages 3-5. 40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year. Rate of pay during first 60-working day probationary period is $23.73-$28.08/hour depending on credentials; post probationary rate of pay is $24.07-$28.76/ hour depending on credentials.
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related education field; Vermont educator's license with early childhood education endorsement preferred; knowledge and experience in developmentally appropriate early childhood practice, child outcome assessment, child behavior management, and curriculum planning, development and implementation; a commitment to social justice and to working with families with limited financial resources; excellent verbal and written communication (bilingual abilities a plus!), documentation, and recordkeeping skills; valid driver's license, clean driving record and access to reliable transportation; physical ability to carry out required tasks.
