Job summary

Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Head Start Supervisor of Special Services to lead screening, special education, and behavioral support services in the Head Start program. This 260-day, full-time role reports to the Division of Student Services and collaborates with ABA Clinics, Behavior Consultants, and Preschool Special Education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of operating grants strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of screening, special education, and behavioral support services for Head Start.
• Supervise, coach, and develop staff; support families through referral and evaluation processes.
• Oversee behavior management protocols and ensure completion of Behavior Incident Reports.
• Coordinate with Behavior Consultants and Preschool Special Education teams to address student needs.
• Participate in data team meetings to monitor outcomes and troubleshoot program improvements.
• Assist in budget and grant development and cultivate community partnerships.
