Adams County is seeking a Director to lead the Head Start Program within the Human Services Department. The role focuses on overseeing all program activities, policy development, budgeting, and coordination with other agencies to ensure compliant, high-quality services for families and children.

The position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and experience in education or human services governance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of increasingly responsible experience in education or human services programs, including two years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
• Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license.
• A motor vehicle record check will be conducted.
• Must pass multiple criminal background checks, FBI background check and Central Registry check.
• Must complete physical examination and TB test upon hire; ability to obtain and maintain access to required systems.

Responsabilidades

• Direct, manage, supervise, and coordinate the Adams County Head Start Program within the Human Services Department.
• Coordinate activities with other County departments, divisions, and outside agencies.
• Provide administrative support to the Human Services Department Director.
• Oversee all services and activities of the Head Start Program and develop policies and goals.
• Plan, direct, and review budget and staffing needs for the Head Start Program.
• Develop staff through training and performance evaluations; implement discipline where needed.
• Represent Head Start on boards/commissions and stay current with regulations.
