Job summary

Community Action Council is seeking an Entry level Head Start Pathway Specialist at The Prep Academy in South Lexington, KY. The role supports families with FPAP, delivering comprehensive case management and coordinated services to foster healthy living and well-being.

The position requires either a bachelor's-level credential in family studies, child development, or social work, or an associate's/HS with a required credential within 18 months. Day shift, full-time, salary based on hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in family studies, child development, social work or related field with 1 year ECS case management experience.
• Associate's degree in family studies, child development, social work or related field with 1 year ECS case management experience.
• High school diploma or GED; must obtain credential in social work, human services, family services, or related field within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs independent case management for families per Head Start Performance Standards.
• Advises and assists individuals and families with various issues.
• Coordinate services and activities with families and communities to promote well-being.

Education

Pathway Specialist I: Bachelor's in family studies, child development, social work or a related field is required, plus one year of Early Childhood Studies (ECS) case management experience.

Pathway Specialist II: Associate's degree in family studies, child development, social work or a related field is required, plus one year of ECS case management experience.

The Head Start Pathway Specialist creates, provides, and coordinates services and activities with families and communities that foster strength, healthy living, and overall well-being.
