Job summary

Southwestern Community Action Council, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking candidates for Head Start roles at Levels I–III. An AA degree in Early Childhood, Social Service or related area is required, with a CDA credential as applicable. Level II requires two years of related experience; Level III requires three years. The position is regular, full-time, exempt, 12 months, with benefits and progression based on credentials.

Qualifications

• Must meet Level I qualifications with ability to plan, train, coordinate and manage.
• Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record; background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Start center staff in classroom and related activities.
• Monitor record-keeping systems and report findings to On-site Supervisor and Area Supervisor.
• Support recruitment and enrollment in accordance with SCAC Head Start regulations.
• Collaborate with LEA classrooms to ensure compliance with Head Start standards.
• Ensure confidentiality of family records and maintain a safe classroom environment.
• Assist in maintaining a cooperative relationship with agencies providing services to families.
