Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related degree field; experience may be considered in lieu.
• Must be able to obtain Oklahoma Food Handler's Permit.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Obtain and maintain first aid and infant/toddler CPR certification within 90 days from date of hire.
• Obtain required criminal record check clearance prior to hire and during employment as required.
• Must possess understanding of needs of low-income families and the role of parents as primary educators of their children.
• Must obtain and provide documentation of an initial and annual physical health examination and TB screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist with annual review of menus for nutritional soundness and compliance with USDA/CACFP regulations.
• Assist with review of food service operations in all classrooms; assist with center visits and folder checks.
• Assist Nutrition Specialist in conducting trainings.
• Assist in working with food vendors to ensure compliance with USDA/CACFP standards and substitutions for allergies or intolerances.
• Assist in site reviews for new classrooms and staff training needs.
• Conduct routine site monitoring reviews at each site three times per school year and follow up on nutrition needs.
