Hill Country Community Action Association, Inc. is seeking a HS Nutrition Aide I to support daily meal production for Head Start children, ensuring CACFP requirements and proper documentation.

The role collaborates with teachers to accommodate special diets and maintain safe, healthy kitchen practices. The position requires an English-speaking candidate with a high school diploma or GED, dependable work habits, and willingness to complete required trainings, including food handling and CPR/First

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Must be warm, supportive, pleasant, and positive toward young children and parents.
• Must be dependable and flexible in receiving assignments.

Responsabilités

• Review menus and determine food quantities using food program software.
• Purchase approved supplies and manage receipts.
• Prepare meals for children following health and CACFP guidelines.
• Inventory, label and store food safely.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation in kitchen and dining areas.
• Record food temperatures and complete CACFP documentation.
